Exercise Promotes Good Health

The world around us travels at a very fast pace. People are eating more fast food, we send emails and texts to communicate, and everyone is in a hurry these days to get from Point A to Point B. Who has time to exercise?

It’s been proven that regular exercise can produce some great health benefits. Here are just a few:

- Stress relief
- Increased energy
- Weight loss or control
- Strengthens bones
- Promotes better sleep

Doing a mixture of cardiovascular and strength training will provide the best results. Cardiovascular exercise allows your heart and lungs to work harder which improves your oxygen use. Calories are burned which promotes weight loss.

Try aerobic activities, swimming, walking, or bicycling for a good cardio workout.

Strength training helps slow bone loss and builds muscle. Your body will become more toned or muscular and your bones will become stronger.

Sit-ups, using weight machines, or resistance bands are a great way to start a strength training program.

Physical activity will not only make you feel better and have more energy, but more importantly, can help you prevent a wide range of health problems such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure.

Make time for 30 minutes of physical activity each day – you deserve it!
